1 . What is NP$ or NP Credit?

  • To rent the SimpleRack™ from Network Platform website to practice CCIE lab examination, one must first purchase NP$ also referred as NP Credits.
  • The value of NP$ 1 = US $ 1.


2 . What is the benefit of purchasing NP$ over the traditional method of directly using US$?

  • It allows Network Platform to separate out the e-commerce transaction process from the rack scheduling process.
  • It provides flexibility to our customers in using the purchased NP$ against scheduling the rack whenever they want.
  • Network Platform customers no longer have to lock their money at our website. If customers no longer need to schedule the rack at Network Platform website, then they can receive the full refund of their remaining money.


3 . How do I purchase NP$?

  • Customers can purchase NP$ by selecting the Buy Credits button from the CCIE Rack Rentals page or from My Platform page.
  • Select the appropriate credit package and add it to the shopping cart. When you are ready to complete the payment transaction, select Continue to Paypal button and follow the instructions to compete the purcahse.
  • Customers will receive an email from Network Platform once the transaction is successful and the users wallet under My Platform will show the status of available NP Credits (NP$).


4 . How do I get my money back if I no longer need to use Network Platform's SimplaRack™?

  • Customers can request the refund of their remaining money anytime using the Request Refund button under My Account.
  • (My Platform -> My Account)
  • Network Platform team will convert the remaining NP$ balance back to US$ and will send the refund using Paypal.
  • Network Platform does not convert the NP credits (NP $) of a scheduled but not yet accessed SimplaRack™ session back to US$


5 . How do I schedule my SimpleRack™ session using NP$?

  • To schedule CCIE SimpleRack™ Sessions, first log in to Network Platform account and click on SimpleRack Calendar. Select Rack Type, Rack Number and Date you want to schedule, and then move the cursor to the available sessions highlighted with green color and click on Schedule session.
  • The scheudling process will show the available credits in your wallet and required credits to schedule the session. If you have suffiecient NP credits then you will see the summary of your scheduled session with updated available credit information.


6 . How much NP$ each SimpleRack™ R&S CCIE session cost?

  • Each SimpleRack™ R&S CCIE session costs NP$ 8.0


7 . What is the duration of each SimpleRack™ R&S CCIE session?

  • The duration of each CCIE SimpleRack™ session is 6 hours.
  • Out of these 6 hours, last 30 min are reserved by Network Platform team to clear the configuration files on all the routers if the next session is not reserved by the same customer.


8 . Can I cancel my scheduled SimpleRack™ session?

  • No, you cannot cancel your scheduled SimpleRack™ session. However, you can reschedule your SimpleRack™ session before 48 hours of the scheduled time.


9 . How do I reschedule my scheduled SimpleRack™ session?

  • To reschedule CCIE SimpleRack™ Sessions, first log in to Network Platform account and click on SimpleRack Calendar.
  • Move the cursor to the already scheuled session,highlighted with orange color, that you want to reschedule and click on Reschedule. Then move the cursor to the available session that you want and click on Reschedule.


10 . Do I lose my purchased NP$ if I reschedule my SimpleRack™ session?

  • No, Customers will not lose their NP$ if Network Platform receive their rescheduling request 48 hours ahead of your scheduled session.


11 . Can I schedule the SimpleRack™ session for next day if the slot is available?

  • No, as a business policy, Network Platform requires 48 hours of notice to fulfill scheduling and rescheduling requests. However, Network Platform team will try to fulfill such requests and customers will receive an email if Network Platform team provisions the SimpleRack™ session.


12 . How do I access the SimpleRack™ on the scheduled date and time?

  • Customers are required to read the SimpleRack™ Access Details from the Products webpage.
  • Customers will receive the username and password in an email whenever customer schedules a SimpleRack™ session for the first time.
  • Same username and password can be used to access the SimpleRack™ for future scheduled sessions


13 . What should I do if I run into problem during my scheduled SimpleRack™ session?

  • Please send us the message indicating the problem you are facing using the web form from the Contact Us web page.
  • Network Platform team will not be able to help if the customer sends message after the SimpleRack™ session is over.


14 . What happens to my NP$ if I lose significant amount of SimpleRack™ session time due to device problem?

  • Network Platform team will credit back the associated NP$ for that session to the customer if Network Platform team indentifies that the customer has lost significant amount of time due to device problem.
  • Network platform team will not credit back the used NP$ to the customer in the cases where customer is facing access or device problems due to wrong configuration applied to the router by the customer itself.


15 . Which workbook topology R&S CCIE SimpleRack™ supports?

  • Currently, R&S CCIE SimpleRack™ topology supports most of the workbook topologies available in the market. It is fully meshed at LAN, WAN including frame relay switch. The FR switch is preconfigured for any to any connectivity. For more information on this, Please visit R&S CCIE SimpleRack™ Topology and R&S CCIE SimpleRack™ device details.
  • We are always working on to support new workbook topologies that are available in the market.


16 . Do you support custom topology on request?

  • Yes, Network Platform does support custom topology requests, provided those requests are reasonable and does not alter the current topology that R&S CCIE SimpleRack™ supports.


17 . What happens to my configuration after my SimpleRack™ session is over?

  • Network Platform team erases all the configuration from all the routers when SimpleRack™ session or consecutive SimpleRack™ sessions are over.
  • Customers are requested to save their configurations by uploading configuration files to My Router Cofigs under My NPDrive or locally on their laptop/pc at least 15 min prior to their SimpleRack™ session is scheduled to end.
  • We are working on an automated web based feature to save router configurations and that feature will be released soon.


18 . Can I save my router configurations on the routers itself?

  • No, it is not recommended, it will be lost as Network Platform team deletes all the customer configurations and reload the routers with default configurations after each SimpleRack™ session or consecutive SimpleRack™ sessions ends.


19 . Does Network Platform share customer’s personal information with others?

  • Network Platform does not share or sell customer personal information to others.
